I need a laptop which I plan to use as my primary unit to study on. As it stands, I do not plan on doing anything such as video editing. So the GPU included is of no particular interest to me.

I have been looking at getting a laptop with a 7700HQ CPU but they almost always are gaming laptops which are ugly and loud (fan noise, I mean). Maybe I don't need a CPU like that?

I need a 15inch+ screen as well, and ideally I would like good colours and a bright screen.

I also need to be able to upgraded the RAM further into the course.

I feel like I have exhausted all options, having looked on eBuyer, PC World, and directly at Dell, MSI, Gigabyte, Toshiba, Lenovo, Acer and HP.

My budget is £1100 max. Please help me with some suggestions.
