I've never tried Msi before but I had pretty bad experience with Acer ~ good specs but bad build quality so it didn't last long. Any other recommendations are welcome . Thanks !

Of these two choices, I would recommend the MSI. I am not a fan of Acer "quality" either.

Depending on your budget (and location), there are likely other candidates to consider. What is your budget?
