Laptop for student/gamer

Hi! I will be enrolling in college in the spring semester in about 2 weeks and I need a laptop. I do not have an exact budget, however, I would say $500 is probably the top I would go to. What are some decent laptops at different prices that I would be able to play modern games on, and do work on, not necessarily maxed out, but playable. I mainly play MMO's like WOW and Wildstar, but will play the occasional steam game as well.

Dell Inspiron 15 i5558-5718SLV Signature Edition is a good one. I personally recommend this because my younger brother have it. It will cost around $440-460.

For $540 you can buy the following Lenovo Ideapad 700-15ISK which has a Core i5-6300HQ, 1080p screen and a GTX 950m. The GTX 950m is not listed in the specs, but it has been confirmed in the comments. Battery life is not that great though... I think 4 hours based on average usage (no games).
