What is the best laptop ? Its for the home

it depends what you want to spend, but I bought a Acer for around $400 and have been using it daily for at least 5 hrs a day no problems

You really need to decide exactly what you are going to use it for(including what software). And then use that as a basis for what you need. If it's just browsing and watching movies, then just about any of them will meet your needs.

I got an HP laptop from Costco and it was a good purchase for a laptop around the home. Costco has very good warranties on their technology- something to think about!

My son is hard on laptops. He really only uses it for movies, browsing and light(older) gaming. I found a 3 yr old laptop at a yard sale cheap, but it meets his needs and didn't put a dent in my wallet. I also live in a college town, so used laptops are everywhere.
