Laptop freezes when playing games

I got this laptop for Christmas, since then it has been running great until now, every time I try to play a game, my laptop freezes and needs to be restarted.
My Specs:
Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60
8GB RAM
64-bit operating system, 64 bit based processor
Windows 10
Nvidia Geforce GTX 960m

- Once done, do test your laptop again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- If the same problem will persist do also a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to the graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.

- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- Observe your PC again after the reboot.

The only place I can find my NVidia graphics card is under display adapters, would I uninstall this?
