Laptop gets struck while playing few particular games

Laptop : dell inspiron 5558
while playing 'crusader games' or 'mount and blade with fire & sword' the game get struck and then every thig gets struck i have to directly turn off the laptop. I could play games like assassins creed 3, revelations, far cry 3 and other games normally. my directx version is 11
os windows 8.1
graphics driver up to date
