Laptop gets stuck (frustrating)

Hello! My laptop was working just fine until suddenly today it just freezed. While it freezed the laptop went completely quiet (no sound from hardware) and I had to shut it down using the power button. What is wrong with it?

It could have been any number of things. From unimportant up to leading to a major issue. If it turns on again and works fine, I wouldn't fret over it.
