HI! this is my first post on the forums, but i'm looking for a laptop for college. I want to run most games at ultra so i'm gonna need a top of the line GPU. I was wondering what the cheapest laptop i can get with a 780m 680m or 7970m is?

Also, how is the 770m compared to these? is it worthwhile, because I can get a clevo/sager for 1200 with the 770m. The laptop is a gift from my parents (a reward since i'm getting a full-ride academic scholarship) and they'll buy whatever i want, but 1500$ is really the limit (unspoken limit that is)

EDIT: i've looked at the MSI gx60 but the APU seems like a HUGE bottleneck so i've kinda disqualified it (i'm going for engineering so a good processor is pretty important)

the sager is a little too much, i'd probably just get a p151sm1 with the 770m for 1200$ rather than spend the extra 450$ for the radeon hd 8970m. Anyone know if the clevo p150sm will be much cheaper than the current p157sm ???

Laptop GPUs do not compare to GPUs as they're made for low power requirements. Even the highest end Radeon 7970M can't compare to its' desktop equivalent. Read this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-6990m-geforce-gtx-580m-deception,3118.html

im also in the same situation! the best bet ive seen so far, is the MSI GX70 , the only issue is that the amd cpu bottlenecks the 8970, but at that price, i doubt any other lappy can beat it when it comes to gaming. but im all ears right now
