laptop has black bars around the screen

my screen size appears to be smaller. ive tried going to the control panel and change the resolution but that doesn't help. please help its annoying to see my screen like this

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstall the graphics driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- In Programs and Features do also anything anything related to your graphics card.
- Next is to download and install latest graphics driver.
- Once installed, reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.
- Lastly, change the resolution until it match your screen.
