Laptop Hinge Trouble

So my HP laptop has served me well over the last 2 years, but the right lid hinge recently started to have some problems. whenever I try to open or close it, it feels like I'm breaking it just trying to close it. The hinge just seems like it's having a bit of trouble turning and the two parts of the screen border have started to unclip because of it. I was just needing to know if there is some way that I can fix this myself, or if it's something that I need to take to get fixed. Thanks for your time.

You can fix almost anything yourself, all depends on how much you know and are willing to try. First step, find a guide on taking the screen off. Once you get to the screen assembly you can check what is going on with the hinges if you just need to re-seat them or there is something broken.
