Laptop just switching off

I've had my laptop (Lenovo) for about 8 months now and until recently I've had no problems.

However recently I've found it just switching itself off with no warning. It seems to only do it when...

1) I'm playing football manager 17
and
2) it isn't plugged in.

So if I'm not on the game it doesn't do it or if I am on the game but it's plugged in it doesn't do it.

It's annoying the hell out of me now. any suggestions what it could be?

Update the system patch try, the most important thing is to see the game on the computer requirements......
