Laptop Keys Stopped Working

I have a Acer Aspire laptop which I bought over a year ago. There are a few keys on one side of my laptop that are not working. These keys are the Caps lock, Tab, Esc, 1(!) keys. These keys will sometimes work but then just stop working and sometimes start working again. I've seen someone post a question like this having the same problems with the same keys on the same laptop. Is there anyway to solve this problem?

Return your laptop if on warranty, also check if that place of the pc usually takes up too much heat when using cpu intensive stuff.

Returning the laptop isn't an option here. The side of the laptop where the keys don't work does get very hot if that's what you mean.

Yeah heat may have damaged the keys then :S im sorry i dont think you have anything else to do

i don't suppose you found ny solution. i'm hving the identicl problem plus with the obvious missing key here... very frustrting
