Question Laptop lags while gaming

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a new laptop over my previous one, however I am lagging far more on the new one than the previous laptop.

My new Laptop is HP envy 360 convertible
AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with Radeon vega mobile gfx @2.3 GHz and turbo 4.00 Ghz
Ram is 16GB with a 1TB SSD

I have windows 10 installed.

My old laptop was an i5 with 6 GB ram.

The overall laptop performance is better (faster window opening times, faster shut down/boot up speed, as well as better at multi-tasking, however, I play a few online games and in all of them, the new laptop is slower in loading maps, even though I expected it to be faster. My old laptop ran games very smoothly.

Would be great for your suggestions!

Hi there. Your specs seem fine for things like online games, have you tried checking your battery settings? Try putting it to full performance like in the photo attached:

Otherwise, try turning off hardware acceleration in your browser. Kaveh

Hi, thanks for you reply.

The games that I play are downloaded, so I do not play them on chrome. I turned off the hardware acceleration and there was no difference. I also tried the best performance battery setting, and still there was no improvement.
