Hey guys,

I have a Lenovo Legion 7 Laptopn with 1TB SSD (more than 300GB free space), nVidia GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics with 32 GB RAM... All drivers are up to date, windows 11 is up to date, I checked all hardware and they are working well through Lenovo Vantage and I scanned for viruses with Malware Bytes and Spyware... But still, my laptop is very laggy, video playback is choppy, mouse cursor sometimes lags and skips when I move it, even when typing this lags and then writes the text fast. I have no idea what could be the problem. I am trying to find out if I can fix it without reinstalling Windows because I work with graphics and I have a few programs that would be a nightmare to reinstall with all the add-ons and actions again. The laptop is not even a year old... Any ideas?

to have a look what the problem could be:
run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

check the temperatures with "hwinfo" while it´s choppy
check the SSD with its manufacturer´s tool (samsung, wd, or else)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

clean boot

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

Here is the userbanchmark:
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/60919105

The temp of all the components is between 60 and 75 Celsius
The SSD is SKHynix

I did the restore Health command and it said successful but nothing changed

Did the clean boot but most of my services are disabled anyways... just a couple of programs were running and didn't do much difference after the clean boot

Any other advice?

Did you install the latest laptop nvidia 3080 driver?
https://www.nvidia.de/download/driverResults.aspx/204512/de

don´t use the regular desktop one. Try using the one from the lenovo homepage if the nvidia driver
fails.

install the latest AMD GPU driver as well

update the BIOS of your laptop:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/legion-series/legion-7-16achg6/82n6/downloads/driver-list/component?name=BIOS/UEFI
OMG... it worked!!! The nVidia driver was up to date, but the AMD processor driver was not and the BIOS as well... I manually updated those 2 and it's working so smoothly now... It's weird why the BIOS update didn't show in the Lenovo Vantage as well as the automatic search on their website but had to install it manually. Also, the AMD driver didn't show in the automatic search of the Lenovo support website... I guess I relied heavily on their automatic update as well as other driver update software... big mistake.

Thank you again helpstar... you were a lifesaver... I was ready to reinstall everything from scratch or throw it in the garbage lol...
