Laptop made a loud popin sound and now it has lines on the screen

Hello I have a Asus notebook s and it work fine this morning. But as I was in it this morning I had gotten hot so I shut it down thru the start menu like ur supposed to and it made a roaring sound while it was hot then as I shut it and sit it down it made a piping sound so as it was hot I put a fan in front of it BC the fan did not work well I turn it on after it cooled down and now my screen has lines their and black patching on the screen what could have happened

Video card sounds like it failed, could be due to overheating. Depending on your laptop model you would need a motherboard swap to get it fixed since CPU and/or video chip are likely not removable.

Yes, unless your screen is actually broken and not the card. See if it works with an external monitor.
