Laptop Memory Expansion Help

Hello, I am looking into purchasing a laptop for my upcoming college year. However, i'd like to have an 8gb Laptop. I was considering purchasing a laptop with 4 gb ram and later upgrading it. Would I be able to purchase two 4 gb sticks of ram and improve the speed? or no?

Depends on the laptop, but typically yes. Some may have only have one slot so you'd have to get a single 8Gb stick, but most have two and the upgrade is plug-and-play.
