Laptop motherboard replacement?

this is slightly out of my area of experience, but how expensive is it to replace a laptop motherboard? or is it even possible to buy them?

I have had luck finding them on Ebay, and I always replaced/installed it myself. Its a little tricky replacing motherboards on laptops as more often than not you have to completely disassemble everything to get to it. Because It takes a bit of work and every manufacturer/model will be different it will cost you a lot to get it replaced by someone. If you do not feel comfortable replacing it then do not attempt to do so because you might break something or forget the order of re-assembly
