Laptop Mousebad - Broken Button

Hi,
Today I left my laptop on the floor and accidentally knelt on the mousepad/ touchpad. It has now indented the mousepad as you can see in the photo. It's not only recessed a lot but it's also been pushed to one side slightly. What shall I do?
Is it done for?

You might want to take it apart and see if it's jammed under something and unjam it from within. Another thing to do is buy a cheap wireless mouse USB.

Thank you! I have got another mouse but I want to travel and use it normally. Shall I dismantle it from the bottom or try to go in from the top?

I would probably dismantle it in whichever way is easiest. And take out the battery first.
