Laptop not booting up

Hi

I have 3 year old laptop. Problem is that,only sometimes it boots.
Many time If i switch on the laptop only leds will glow and nothing will happen .
Need to know what I can do.

Sounds like a motherboard issue. Did you try reseating RAM, battery and hard drive? Try different RAM? Could be a dead screen also, connect an external screen to the system and see if anything comes up on that.
