Laptop not getting through bios-check/blackscreen

Acer Aspire 5920, Screen/internal and external/ stay black,
The caps/num led's blink one's
Hdd 3 times.

then stays in the same state, keeps running though, after a while the RAM/CPU/GPU get warm, though still nothing more, systembeeps are absent.
or give a unknown code (one verry shot - almost regualr check beep, though to short - or two same length beeps).
(we checked the Ram, other dim's give same result. also pulled the Cmos battery out for 20 min and put it back)


No bios update done, nor anything else modified.

just stopped working after being going out of standby.

I'd say the motherboard is dead. Find a spare or replace the whole notebook.

My Laptop did the same...

Goto Ace website down load the correct bios updates and then install the updates via USB.

PRESS FN key and ESC together and then start laptop.

Keep FN key and ESC pressed down till the lights flash..... then take fingers of the keys and press ANY key ONCE.

Updtes starts. May tke upto 8 mins.

Make sure PSU is plugged in.
