laptop not working properly

I just bought this samsung np550 s05in laptop and is running like a charm but when I try to run 3d application like 3ds max or maya it just start lagging and i'm not even able to move a single box in new scene. Whats the problem guys can anybody help. System has i7- 3630 , 8 gb ram 2 gb nvidia 650gt,1tb hdd 5400 rpm

You haven't installed NVIDIA drivers?

The laptop is updated all software and drivers are upto date.
