Hello! Lately I had some trouble with my laptop, and i am not assuming it's my battery yet. So here it is he problem my laptop (toshiba) says i have full battery but however when i unplug the adapter it shuts down within a second. Now, i downloaded the hwmonitor and it says the following: battery voltages:11.300
wear level: 73%
I've ha this laptop for more than 3 years and a year ago I dropped it on the floor but i managed to fix it; my adapter was bent initially but was fixed. I should mention the left bottom part of my laptop was bent aswell but fixed and however worked fine for more than a year.
Do you have any idea if it's the battery /adapter/ or other things ? Thank you!

In a situation like this with previous damage one must take another look, its possible the solder needs to be re-done on the adapter. The battery itself is over 3 years old and in my opinion will start to fail, depending on usage by the 4th year i would be sourcing a replacement battery regardless of the situation to kept in quick reach.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a test with the AC adapter, remove the battery off your laptop then boot it up with just its AC adapter and see if it will boot up.
- If it does stay on, that means your AC adapter is working just fine.
- While the laptop is on put the battery back in then remove the AC adapter and see if it will stay on.
- If all these will not work it's the battery that has the problem and based from the wear level it's already at 73%.
