laptop or notebook ??

i have the dillema whether i sould buy a notebook in a low price i have found it (250 euros) on or a new laptop (600 euros).

In both cases the specs are intel core i5 processor and 8GB RAM.
The only difference between them are the hard drive (which i can improve it in the notebook case). And i dont really mind about the screen size difference!

Is notebook powerful enough to cover my needs of running softwares like autocad and arcgis ?

What do you suggest i should prefer??

It probably depends on the exact i5 processors involved in each. There's what, 7 or 8 generations of i5s? The capabilities vary between models/generations.

And for what it's worth, a notebook is the same as a laptop. just 2 different words for the same thing.

My main question is whether would the notebook be able to handle the softwares i mentioned..

I am not sure about the generation of the processor, but i will check and let you know if you would be kind enough to help me through this !!

Need to know the exact spec. there are 8th generation of i5, and each gen have different model.
