Question Laptop or Samsung Dex?

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out what my best option would be between buying a new laptop or get the Nexdock 360 to use Samsung Dex on my Note 20 Ultra.

I have an extremely old Sony Vaio laptop that is past its prime. I am now trying to figure out what to get next. My intentions is to edit photos and videos from my GoPro Hero 10, Autel Evo 2 Pro 6K drone, and smartphone. Now, I dont have much experience with much of the higher editing programs.


I'm really in a budget, but could possibly spend up to $1500.

I saw that my phone has Samsung Dex which with the NexDock could be more powerful than my old Sony Vaio laptop. It would cost me less than $400. This would also be easier to carry anywhere with me as the screen is 13.3". I can use Adobe Rush for video editing, but not Adobe Premiere Pro.

I saw a HP Omen at best by with a 12th Gen Intel and 2060 card for around $1500.


What would my best option be?

If I were you, I would choose Samsung Dex rather than a laptop, but this is my opinion only

Get a Microsoft Surface, it will do precisely everything you need.

Whichever fits your needs and budget. There's like 20 different Surface models now.

The Surface Book 2 has an i7 and GTX 1060 and can handle most you can throw at it, and it's only $600 used.

I would choose Samsung Dex but this is my opinion it served me 1 year later I sold it because I would be too small for me
