Solved! Laptop plugged in but not charging.

Hello. I have a referbshed HP elitebook 8470P. That I've had for about 11 months. When I went to unplug it lastnight it said 'Battery at 7% percent please connect charger.' Thab shut down. And I thought "what the hell it's been charging for the past few hours..." So I reconnected my charger and turned it on to check my battery indicator. I'm at 7% but it says 'plugged in but not charging.' I've followed the steps provided by googling the problem by uninstalling my battery driver and adapter driver from device manager. (I did that a few times.) And the problem isnt solved. Aka it isnt charging at all still while plugged in. It turns on without my battery in but still wont charge. Is there anything else I can do before I have to look into a new battery/adapter because my cousin is going to give me hell for it and complain about it... And it won't be done right away probably...

Also as a side note. My charger/adapter light doesn't come on. Could that mean anything?

quite simple you cant charge a dead batttery

If u want this to last, buy battery directly from HP, 'cuz third parties are a gamble.
