As to your problem, I'd go into the BIOS and see if there is an option for Wake on LAN. If there is, turn it off. Go into control panel, device manager, double click on network adapters, double click on any network or wireless adapters, and on each one uncheck "allow this device to wake the computer" on the power management tab of it's properties.
I'd also turn off hybrid sleep and disable hibernation. As follows:
