So, preferably a little under £1000.

What will I be using it for? Video editing and Photoshop, browsing, watching films/TV.

Specific requirements? HDMI, USB 3.0, dedicated graphics, SSD, Blu Ray if possible, a nice quality screen.

Thanks.

You can customize this to your needs, if you don't want to then here's a tad bit cheaper:

1. cyberpower systems are known for just bad product quality and even worse customer support.
2. You're always advertising Cube laptops - when they're regular clevo chassis with regular parts with bad specs for the price than other vendors? Do a bit of research?

right on to OP's question.
everything should be easy except Blu ray
for a regular pre-built retail laptop - I would suggest this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-N550JK-CN111H-Intel-2400-GTX850M/dp/B00IWQ006S - its a 15.6"
I know it's unavailable right now but it's only just been released in the USA, Germany and Austria so give it time to come here - but it's got everything you need including an IPS screen (much better than the regular 1920x1080s) and a blu ray drive - although the outright specs aren't the best bang for buck this series is known to be solid - especially ASUS. the CPU is par for high end and won't bottleneck anything graphical - it's a quad core - the graphics are decent - not sure how they'd fare to video rendering but it has the same amount of graphics cores ( the internet tells me that's important) as the next suggestion. However this does not have an SSD

2nd option - If you want something a bit smaller and compact for a fair bit cheaper then you may want to check this out - https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusV-13/ - it's a 13.3"
for £1000 you can cram in the same I7 4700MQ, but have 16GB RAM (if you want it - that seems to be the rendering standard - says the internet) but this time has the more powerful GTX 860M - which is around 20-30% more powerful than the 850M - although the same number of cores, it in theory should work better. You'd also need to upgrade the wireless, the HDD and you even have enough money for an SSD (i'm quite jealous). It also has the 1920x1080 IPS screen as option 1. If you need help on the ideal config then PM me - I come to the forums daily.

3rd option - http://www.cclonline.com/product/143378/GE60-2PE-029UK/Laptops/MSI-GE60-2PE-029UK-Apache-Pro-15-6-i7-4700HQ-8GB-1TB-GTX-860M-Gaming-Notebook/NOT10016/
this is more powerful than the first option in the graphics, with the same as the second option - except it's just in a different form factor and a less boring chassis. However this laptop does not have the IPS screen, it has a screen that's nearly as good - it's not the normal run of the mill screens - again according to the internet. But yeah, I only mention this if you're bothered over aesthetic - feel free to disregard - unless you want to play titanfall??? But this model also does not have an SSD. though you can install one yourself - 2.5 MSATA's are quite cheap these days.

so yeah hope I helped.

costs £929.99 in UK, has a tiny SSD and a slow HDD - is quite weighty compared to the options - runs an SLI setup that gets ridiculously warm and is only 2-3% better in graphical performance compared to the other posted options. It isn't worth it

the lenovo y50 though - that would be a sound option when it comes out (sometime in may)
