Hey Guys,

I'm trying to help my brother shop for a laptop. Any suggestions would be great. There are way too many options out there. Here's what would be preferred:

- Under $600
- Preferred resolution of 1600x900 (not a must, but preferred)
- Blu-Ray drive
- 6gb RAM or more
- For the CPU, what will last the longest before showing its age. (Is an i5 what I should look for, with a $600 budget?)
- Decent graphics for casual gaming, but it doesn't need to play the latest & greatest on maxed-out settings.

Any suggestions on what to look for, or even WHERE to look would be great. Thanks!

Ah, forgot to mention...

Screen size isn't a big deal, but I imagine there's not many sub-15.6" that would support 1600x900.

Manufacturer isn't that important either, but I'd like it to feel solid, not something made a plastic that might fall apart with too much jostling in a book bag. I like the feel of Acer, Asus, and Lenovo, for example. But manufacturer is not a deal breaker.

Here's a few BD-player laptops I've found so far that fit the $600 budget, but don't quite meet all the other preferred requirements:
