Laptop recommendations under $1200

hi all,

i am little bit very confused with the selection of laptops.

I googled and decided 'lenovo' is better to go. Now in lenovo, i am thinking to choose one from the following:

* Lenovo t440s with i7 500gb 8gb ram

* Lenovo y50 59421858

Suggest me which "brand" to go.

Purpose: Gaming, personal use, for my official works (experimentation also)

* budget: $ 1200

* requirements: i7 , 4gb or 8gb ram, HD 500gb or 1tb

* life: < 4 years

* buying from US but i am from india

If you know any other brand also, suggest some good one.

what do you want to use it for?

mainly for experimentation (making experiments with hypervisor i.e.,cloud things), programming and for playing some games.

thanks for your answer. any reason for not suggesting the t440s series laptops.
i have not used or know the MSI and Battalion laptops. so please recommend some other brands.

The T440 laptops are using ultra low voltage processors (notice the "U" at the end of the CPU model). This isn't suitable for gaming. But if you prefer Lenovo then the Y50 is the way to go.

Asus, HP, MSI, Lenovo, Gigabyte are one of the best.
