Laptop Screen Black

Hello,
My laptop is MSI GE70 2QE Apache pro. I've tried switching on my laptop. The screen is totally black but the power button is on. Are there any solutions to fix this?

Is the laptop actually on. Hard drive sounds, fan, etc. and just the monitor is black? Or is the whole thing not on?

I have had this exact same problem. Is the power LED, orange/amber?
