Laptop Screen Flickering and Black

So I just bought a new SAGER Laptop, and recently the screen flickers wildly and some times goes black (I can see back-light glow tho), but if I close the lid, so the monitor shuts off and then re-open it, it works fine.

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try updating your drivers. It may be as simple as that.

However, if that doesn't help, since it is new, it should be under warranty and you should contact either where you purchased it or the manufacturer.
