Laptop Shortage Help

PLEASE HELP! I accidentally plugged in 55 volt charger into my boyfriends Asus laptop which normally uses a 19 volt charger. When I plugged it in the screen went black and now it won't turn on with the regular charger. Did I completely ruin his laptop? 🙁

Anything is repairable depending at what point is too much$$ that u consider it ruin. Not user-serviceable for sure, need Pros.
