Laptop shut down and won't charge while updating to Windows 10

The charger light turns off when connected to laptop. There is one click sound whenever the charger and the jack makes contact. I already check my charger and jack via multimeter and they both work. Can you please tell me what the problem is and how to solve it :/

Hi,

Try removing the battery first, connect the AC adapter then once the laptop is on the desktop plug the battery back in. If that doesn't do try the charger with another laptop that is compatible with that charger (same voltage) if it happens again with the devices that means it's your AC adapter but worst case is if works with other device that means it's the motherboard. You need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop and have them repair it if its still under the factory warranty.
