My laptop keeps shutting down unexpectedly and im unsure of what to do. I have cleaned it with air spray, taken it apart and cleaned the fan, and replaced the thermal paste. I know someones going to say its overheating which is why ive taken a video and uploaded it to youtube here https://youtu.be/n0TFNFPy8fQ I dont see anything that would cause shut down like this based on heat. If im wrong please let me know. It is a HP Pavilion m7 1015dx and is about 5 years old. This laptop has been good to me and i dont want to buy a new one if i dont have to. There is some more information in the video description but any help would be appreciated.

Just so you know, you really can't see the details in that video. However, going by the picture your system doesn't look to be overheating at all.

Have you checked the system recently for things like malware, viruses, etc?

I noticed the video was bad after but u can still see the screen cut up so i screen shotted and zoomed in to the last frame before the crash. Ill run one when i get back to it. But it only happens when i play games i can web surf and watch youtube and it never happens i mean hours of surfing and nothing but a min into any game and it crashes

Hi, from what I see in your video, the problem could be the GPU, just to be sure it is not the screen (I do not believe it is), do you have the same problem on an external monitor.

The issue occurs with an external screen and no viruses via malwarebytes free version. The gpu is only the integrated intel hd 4000. A friend suggested it was a gpu solder reflow problem.
