Solved! laptop startup requires more than one attempt

My Asus laptop does not start on a single button press i have to press the button twice but then it starts and works properly and i just cant remove the battery because i am using the ASUS X555LA laptop with windows 10.

It doesn't sound like a battery problem. It sounds more like the power button is having issues and may need replacing.
