Laptop switches on and only shows solid colours then switches off automatically

I dropped my laptop and ever since then, when I switch it on, it just shows solid colours then automatically switches off. It is a Dell Latitutde E6420 i5.

Please help.

Drop = physical damage. Open the laptop, re-seat all connections including the CPU and heatsink unless those are soldered. See it if works at all after that.
