My laptop (Yoga 2 Pro) takes random time to boot up to the "Lenovo" screen, it takes more than 2 minutes. From a cold start it take more than 8 minutes.
It's not an issue with Windows OS because I have refreshed and reset the OS plenty of times but issue still exists.
I have also tried taking out the CMOS battery for a while but no success.
I have taken out the battery of the laptop and hold the power button for 30+ seconds but issue still exist.
I have done a Windows Memory Diagnostic test and no errors show up.
I have the latest BIOS too. Tried setting load defaults in BIOS, but no success.
The issue also occurs when booting into safe mode.
Steps the issue occur:
1. Press power button.
2. The back-lit keyboard lights up for 1&2 seconds (Before the issue, it would light up for less than a second.
3. Nothing comes up on the screen (Just a black screen).
****I can use the Fn and Space bar to turn on and off the back lit keyboard. The Caps Lock, however, has a tiny hole that doesn't light up when pressed but works after Windows load.*****
****During the black screen, the fans are also working*******
4. Have to wait for several minutes until the "Lenovo" screen flashes and after that everything is blazing fast.
I think the issue is something in the laptop needs to be heated to a warm temperate until it can boot and load something on the screen.
I plan on trying to connect the laptop to my TV via mini-HDMI to see if anything occurs before the "Lenovo" screen splashes.
After I login to Windows everything works great, no issues at all.
Any ideas guys?
