Laptop that is 14" or under

Hello

I'm need a laptop that is 14" or under and is priced under $600. I've looked around and there's a lot types I see, most with low powered cpus(any under $600 that are a bit more powerful? I want to keep it for a long time). Gets a bit confusing when there's so many to look at.

What is a good laptop at this price point?

The main difference is the looks and the build quality, the U430p is almost al aluminum while in the Z40 only the cover of the chassis is aluminum, the U430p is thiner also.
