Laptop to Receiver to 4K TV via HDMI

Hey all,

I'm trying to connect my laptop( an MSI Ghost GS60) to a 4K TV via a Marantz SR6004 receiver. However, even though the display is detected i see no signal on the tv. If i connect the laptop directly to the tv it works fine. I tried connecting a different laptop the same way(via receiver) and it worked perfectly. I guess it is a configuration issue on my laptop, any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I don't see anywhere in the specs that the SR6004 supports 4K pass through.

Yeah but then I should still be able to output 1080p right? At least with the other laptop i was able to do so.

yeah you should, you may have to play with your display settings though to tell it to output at a different resolution than the LCD panel in the laptop.
