Laptop Turns off when i change the power plan to balanced/high

iv'e had my laptop for 8 years now , and recently it turns off by itself . when i switch the power plan to power saver it stays on but it affects my games alot (the fps drops from 60-70 to 15-20) and i just wanna know if there's a fix and what's causing the problem . (if i pick any other power plan it turns off , even balanced)

CPU and GPU temps under load?

Check your temps as Dunlop suggested. If they're around 90 Celsius or below when this happens, it's probably an electrical issue, either with the charger or at the motherboard.
