Im not sure which one to purchase and would they decrease in price after the sandybridges come out, thinking about purchasing around February.

The Sandy Bridge quad cores are starting to show up. The SB dual cores are supposed to be out next month.
Yes, prices of the current models will be dropping and you'll see sales and special offers to try and clear out the older inventory before then.
Probably be better off checking back early Feb and keep an eye out for deals.
