Laptop Warranty Replaced Ram Wrong

So I have a Acer ES1-P0SY-512 and bought it through Best Buy with 2 year warranty, I was having problems and took it in for getting fixed. The good news is there was actually a problem with my 8 GB of DDR3L Ram the bad news is they replaced it with 4 GB... This isn't allowed right? In case it helps i'm Canadian. I would love opinions on why they would do this and what they should do to fix it, Thanks for your time.

Hello... 1) Have you talked to the store manager? as you should have sales proof of the Laptop Original configuration.
2) Have you open the RAM slot and inspected the current RAM sticks installed?

1] Tried getting a hold of the employee that took it in but didn't get called back, will try contacting manager today. The Box has all of the specs on it.
2] it's one stick of 4 GB according to task manager.

Hello... LOOK to be sure... so your conversation with the manager is "accurate" on your side... it could be just a Bio's, Ram insertion problem... or OS problem in seeing the extra memory. B )

Pretty simple, bring it back to them, have them put in the correct RAM.
