laptop WiFi Issues

My laptop is not turning the wifi on. When I try to turn the wifi on it doesn't stay and won't turn on

Can you hit the Windows key and X at the same time?

Is there a red x at the bottom by the clock?

Yes there is a red X by the clock and I can press home button and X

some laptop have a switch on the bottom to also turn the wifi on or off make sure the switch is on and working. if not turn the unit off take out the battery and then try and reset the wifi card on the bottom of the laptop.

Sometimes it is a sliding switch, or fn+top key that looks like a radio tower. It would help if we knew what the laptop was.

How do you know that if you do not know what laptop it is?

Because all laptops with Windows has Mobility Center.

It overrides the switch. The mobility center will still work. Also, might want to check for drivers as well.
