Question Laptop won’t turn on

I plugged something into my laptop and it sparked and immediately shut the laptop off. When I plug it in the light on the side turns on but I can’t turn the laptop on. Anyone know what I should do? I bought it about a year ago and I don’t have money for a new one I don’t even have money to get it fixed so I really need help with this.

Ngl I went to charge a vape and put the wires on the wrong side, in the USB port.

Is it still under warranty? If so, end it back. Shorting lines on the USB port should not damage anything, but maybe your laptop is poorly designed. What brand and model is it.

This is a good reason to quit a bad habit (vaping). I don't completely understand what you did, but if the vape stick (which has a battery inside) applied a voltage to the USB port, you could very well have blown something out. Don't plug crap like that into your laptop. Use an external charger.
