Laptop won't turn on

I've replaced a battery only yesterday with a brand new one the charger is OK it charges the battery but the laptop just wont turn on . however if I hold the power button for rather minimum of 10 minutes and then plug in only the power cord without battery of turns in sometimes.Ive no clue what's happening

Was this issue happening before you replaced the battery? Was this an official OEM battery or some 3rd party cheap copy?
