Large White & lots of vertical line on my Laptop screen

Hi,

I have a Samsung Laptop and when i switch the laptop on, the screen divides into 3. It is all same sizes, on the left side i can see the windows 7 screen, in the middle its pure white, on the right all of it is black & white vertical lines.

Can anybody tell me what could have happened to my laptop?

try using an external monitor to see if it does same thing or not. if it does then it is the videocard problem which is not good, if external doesn't have that issue then the laptop screen needs to be replaced.
