Laser Printer for Card Stock?

Hi all, I am a SOHO and currently use and HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw For color printing it is fine, but when it was new I could print avery business cards. Now it hangs up on card stock paper. I am looking for advice on a color laser printer that can handle card stock. My use is about 30 sheets of paper per month of all types, so I don't need a mammoth machine, nor do I need it to scan and fax.

Any recommendations?

I have tried cleaning the paper path and using single sheets. HP says when I sought help that this printer is not for card stock. it now jams when I try either. It is no longer able to grip the card stock.

I have a slightly newer version (254 vice your 252) and it works well with single sheet. It the paper tray, not so good.

Do you have a budget in mind for the replacement printer, should you go that way?

Hi. Less that $400. What process did you use or do you use to clean the paper feed? I just used one of those included paper sheets.

In the past, I have opened the system and wiped down roller wheels with alcohol wipes, blow out accumulated dust, and just a good wipe down (paper is actually rather dirty). Remove any bits of paper you find.

Pretty straight forward process.

I couldn't find anything specific to the 252 or similar model. Just a generic. That might help me. If you have a link specific, that would be great

The generic guides should suffice. Basic HP printer mechanics are similar between models. Focus on the paper path, where you would have to clear a paper jam.

I use the same kind of alcohol wipes used to clean eyeglasses. Yes, you'll have to use a few, but they leave no lint behind.
