Lcd Screen Backlight Inverter changed then went Dim again!

I changed the Lcd Screen Backlight Inverter on my Dell Inspiron 700m laptop and for 5 seconds everything was good...then it went Dim again. What would be the problem now. I changed the LCD backlight inverter to a new one that I bought on ebay. Im a little boggled. Anyone have the same experience?
