LED to old stereo

How do I connect my new LED to my very old Sony Amp? The manual does not have directions for this

It has red & white audio, but doesn't say" in" or "out" And now I cannot find the tv manual-still looking

The Red/White audio are almost certainly 'out'.

...the only 'audio out' is the 3.5mm headphone jack.

That might work going in to your older Sony.
3.5mm to RCA cable. Connect it to the AUX on the old Sony.
