Hello, new to the forum here. Finally asking because this is crazy annoying.
I bought a used Lenovo e430 and wiped it clean and reinstalling all the drivers and whatnot using their tool. Didn't notice that they upgraded the BIOS through that utility and that's when my problem happened.
Now my laptop only starts if its plugged in and I hold the button down for ~5 seconds and then it will work. It will work like normal after it's booted. It will hold a charge and work perfectly off the battery. However, if it sleeps too long, lid closed for more than around 2 hours maybe? Then I have to do the process over again but it boots up back to where it was before. Have to grab the charger and then everything is good.
Any ideas? I'm at a loss. BIOS are up to date and everything else is as well I do think.
